The IEE study for the projectwas conducted according to the MoE Decree No. 8633.

Thescope of work of the IEE study comprised the following main tasks:

  • Identifying relevant stakeholders and conducting a site visit;
  • Identifying relevant and applicable national regulations and guidelines;
  • Assessing environmental baseline conditions in the project area;
  • Identifying the potential negative and positive impacts, including socio-economic impacts, that will be induced by the proposed project;
  • Formulating mitigation measures for the identified negative impacts; and
  • Preparing an environmental management plan (EMP).
  • Following up with the MoE regarding comments on the submitted IEE Report.
