The EIA study for the proposed hospital was conducted according tothe Decree No. 8633/2012 and included the following stages:

1. Environmental Scoping
2. EIA Report

The scope of work of the EIA study comprisedthe following main tasks:

• Assessment of the environmental baseline conditions in the project area;
• Identifying the potential negative and positive impacts, including socio-economic impacts, that will be induced by the proposed project;
• Identifying relevant stakeholders and conducting public consultation with these stakeholders;
• Formulating mitigation measures for the identified negative impacts; and
• Preparation of an environmental management plan (EMP).
